Three Minutes a Day Keeps Class Going Your Way
Some things are easier to start than others, but as with many new things, sometimes just jumping in is the best way to go! Using purposeful animations in your classroom is so easy and made my lesson planning for the week and year a lot less stressful because I could plug in WonderGrove into my lesson daily.
Right now, trying to teach elementary online is no small task, so please, please…let some animated characters help you out!
Whether you’re in front of a class or a screen, just start with jumping in and showing one three-minute animation at the start of a topic or class. Wonder Media has already consulted several teachers who USE these animations to put them in order and organize by topic, so when you’re first getting started, that’s an easy way to plan your week.
Show an animation.
Discuss (even if it’s about in classroom behaviors, remember you’re going back eventually and they need to remember the expected behaviors!)
Choose some extension lessons to do! I ALWAYS do fluency, because you can never have too much fluency practice, and I love the routine of it!

Remember you can copy and paste a link to the videos in your Google Classroom or share your screen on Zoom to have your students watch the videos you choose each day. In my behavior groups, I often show the same video for an entire week (they do NOT get sick of it!) and do a different extension lesson daily.
